What good ...
would prison do?
If you forgive him,
then you've won...

I know, that it ain't easy...
the scar's still show...
wound's still fresh...

maybe you can forgive, but

I believe such courage and strength can only come from God. When I forgave my abuser they no longer had control over my life. One will never forget but as long it is not painful remembering it's ok. But one must get healed to feel this way. I'm sorry I can go on and on about these lyrics because I related to them very much. It's true when you forgive you let go of the pain, and it helps you heal, then the memories hurt less and less.
