Them and Us

Everywhere I go the talk is of them and us, Have I missed the bus. Everyone kicking up such a fuss, Over them and us. Every day a different them and us, I no longer know which is the right bus. Should I go with them or stay with us, What is my status. Everything I read or see on TV is about them and us, I can't get away from it even on the bus. Will war be the result of all this focus, On them and us. Thank God there are still some doors that are open to you and me, Where we can be free, To let them and us be, And focus on you and me. Sometimes you and me becomes three, Yet them, is still left be, As we invite another me Over for a cup of tea. If we can get enough of them through our door, It may lessen the chance of war, As learning new names becomes less of a chore, Them and us could one day be no more.
