The Would Be Poet
THE WOULD BE POET
I have; committed some crimes in my life
But none worse than one gives me strife
As to have the gall to call oneself, a poet
With every line wrote, you clearly know it
But: it is my sin and total guilty pleasure
To yarn my words off to my full measure
To be read upon and then fast forgotten
As some daft nut, that is always popping
But: it ails me, in some way, not to write
& to end with another line of poetic S..te
