The Wondrous Scene

The Wondrous Scene The mountain peaks, covered with snow, Lent to the earth a frosty glow, The valley beneath caught the softness of, The lovely moonlight from above. The glistening dew began to appear, As night took leave and dawn came near, And the sun rejoiced to share his light, And warmth with everything in sight. As I stood with eyes beholding, The wondrous scene unfolding, I felt a sense of eternity, Within the very heart of me. (copyright 10/30/15)

Wow, Arlene, what a beautiful winter poem. And I especially liked how you ended your poem. Eternity in you and in nature. How true. Jesus offers eternity to all who believe in Him. But you already know that. You wrote this in FEB. I am surprised it went unread until now!

People that view and never comment are a mystery to me. I've had the same experience and it's frustrating. Sometimes a poem gets over 200 views and maybe 2 or 3 comments. I'd rather someone tell me they did not enjoy the poem than just read and leave. It's like someone left your home without saying goodbye.

Thanks for your encouragement, Darlene! Actually, so far the poem has had 84 views. It is nowhere near some of my poems as far as the number of views. One of my shortest and simplest poems, "We Color Together" has received far more views than any other poem I have written. I think people are looking for something to simplify their lives, which have become so complicated. Thanks again!
