The Wish

She was the sparkle in his eyes He was the silver in her stormy skies She was the purest white rose to him To her, he had the value of a diamond within He would wish She would pray That they both felt the same That maybe one day The wish Would become a kiss She wrote about him in her diary He talked about her to his friends, you see But neither knew each other's feelings Yet he would wish And she would pray That they both felt the same That maybe one day The wish Would become a kiss But until that day That wonderful day Their kiss Will remain a wish
