The Wine and Me

A glass of wine helps me to relax.

   My inhibitions become quite lax

     But after three or four

You'll find me on the floor,

So out of it I could sleep on tacks.

An excellent limerick example for your newest contest, Francine, perhaps I should have a glass of wine or two, oh heck why not the bottle, first to get in the mood before writing my limerick!!

Good one, Francine. So what made you think of this one? Were you partying last night? You have great humor always!

Francine, this one made me smile. Stopped by to say thanks for the first place win...I was rather in shock! I'd spent hours trying to come up with a "heaving bossom" type of poem (I write romance, too), and something different flowed out. Isn't writing amazing? Sometimes the pen has a mind of its own, doesn't it? Ah, now there would be a contest...if your pen took over ... ;-) Anyways, thanks, I feel like Sally Fields winning an oscar, "THEY LIKE ME, THEY REALLY LIKE ME!" Hugs from Cyndi
