The Wind's Lament

The Wind's Lament" The wind, it wails a mournful song, As it rushes through the trees so strong, It howls and moans, a plaintive plea, For all the things it cannot be. It whispers secrets to the leaves, As it rustles through like a thief, It dances and plays, a fleeting joy, For all the things it cannot destroy. It caresses the flowers with gentle touch, As it passes by, a whispering hush, It kisses and sighs, a tender grace, For all the things it cannot replace. Oh wind, how you mourn and weep, For all the things you cannot keep, Yet still you move and roam free, A wild spirit, forever to be.
