The Window Pane

Looking out the window at the sky Watching silently as the world goes by First it is day and then comes night Shadows and silhouettes dancing in my sight Look at the the lovely shades of blue Bands of ribbons all in a hue Such a delight to see the sight The first coming signs of night Look at the spruce tree standing there Shooting it's branches in the air Reaching up to the stars at night Darkness will descend with no more light
