The Will To Stand Up
The will to stand up
With the courage to fight
Some of the greatest demons
Are our own
What better day
Than Easter itself
While we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ
To celebrate our own
To right our wrongs
To slay our demons
To beat our desires
A resurrection of self
And our own good will
To become better
Than we were before
Be Well

Note: Easter Day 2017, My brother called me and told me about his decision to go to rehab for alcohol. This has been a long standing problem for him, but he has finally made the decision to do something about it. And so I wrote this.
