The Whisper of the Leaves
"Breezing trees heard the whispers of leaves"
As they announced the coming of Fall
Summer held on with just a tease
Before autumn spread her decorative shawl
The song of birds reflected the change
As they chirped melancholy tunes
The hues of the leaves in colorful exchange
Glistened like gems in the afternoon
And in the shadow of the fading sun
A flock of birds dotted the sky
Departing, having had their summer fun
As the leaves on the trees whispered a sigh
