The Wayward Wind

There was a time when finding beauty was as easy as a wisp of hair in a wayward wind I was young full of stars in my eyes and every street corner held candy and smiles but then I grew up and my spritely steps slowed for I was shrouded by clouds of gray The green days of my youth were replaced by muted colors and the innocence I once knew loosed upon the shore. My hands ached from losses I could ill ignore; Once upon a time my family was whole mom and dad were young and we all had our goals Then one day I looked around and saw that the world had lost its luster for me. I could no longer find a star in the thicket of night, nor the sun at the cusp of day. The wayward wind mistook me for a feather, and blew me away....

Haunting imagery. The haiga of the blue feather and haiku is beautiful!

What wonderful work! Further, I take this chance to thank you very much for giving me an opportunity to take part in your contests. From the very comment of yours on my poetry the very first time I entered the PS, I have been growing. I cannot forget you for this. I learn from your writings constantly too. They are, indeed, geat.
