The Wayward Traveler
I closed my eyes til’ light was found
In the depths of my spirit, a cymbal resound.
I listened to God, my Savior, my Friend
He spoke to me from beginning til end.
He challenged my thoughts so beautifully
Then left an impression in my being.
To calm a storm or awaken the depths
Clearing a path for life to begin.
Then holding His hand, our spirit’s entwined,
Now I acknowledge, my Life, my Love Divine
And I, once, a Wayward Traveler too
Looked at life from a different view.
