The Wall

I wondered why the wall was there and what its purpose was amid the trees -  had someone tried to build a house and found his stone supply ran out with these? Perhaps the house had fallen down one winter's night with howling wind and rain, the person getting cold and wet, and never tried to build his house again! But here it stands, a mystery, for sure; though further on I spotted twenty more... for Craig's Wall contest
