Remnants of a love that meant so much

Perhaps our time together was brief, But in that fleeting moment, there was relief. We danced with words, we fought with fire, A connection that rose higher and higher. Your funeral songs came far too soon, Yet I am not lost in the dark of the moon. I am with God, reciting poems of old, Stories of lands forgotten, stories untold. I'll return for the echoes of my final verse, A gentle flame, a lantern to disperse. Whether noticed or not, I'll come and go, Leaving behind whispers of love to sow. In the silence of the night, in the shadows deep, My words will linger, my promises to keep. For in this vast world, in the realms unseen, My spirit roams free, forever keen.
