The Heavenly Obsession

For I got to see a glimpse of you I worship the holy spirit everyday to keep you near An atheist bowing down to god For the boon this spirit showered me with Are you a miracle? Are you an hallucination? You taste like the bittersweet chocolate Melting in my mouth Yet so enticing and heavenly You smell like the flowers of a dreamland Arduous to find and impossible to forget Remember how you grabbed my waist And heard me breathe? Darling, your hopes are my faith in you If only Satan cursed love to turn into a sin I'd choose to be your sinner Look up to you like you were the divine being Sacrifice all of me just to reside in you I'd savour every bit of the love I get from you Are you a drug or meditation? Even if you are none will you please stay mine? Be Mine poetry contest 4th of January, 2022 Regina McIntosh
