I don't know about you, but I think these are the times (once again) that try men's souls.

The U.S.A.'s a Scary Mess By Franklin Price 8/5/2016 The U.S.A.'s a Scary Mess Why I think this I'll begin The base the presidential race And wondering who will win We listen to the rhetoric That makes so little sense But we must listen and decide And get off the mental fence Vote the heart of Washington That beats for selfish goals Or the one whose mind's in question God help us at the polls The former will say anything Chooses words we want to hear The latter voices foolish things That are offensive to the ear There's not much trust for either Can't believe these are the two Who run to lead our country Is there something else to do? Are there any other choices? If so should hear them soon And send the two we have right now Like Alice, to the moon!

Our country's political problems stem much further than this presidency. But, I agree: it is scary to see what will happen, as we are already so severely wrecked from the last sixteen years.

9/11 affected us terribly and continues to do so. We need a leader who will lead and a congress who cooperates. Is that possible any more? I hope and pray. Thanks for visiting

No matter how bad things are, a little humor relieves a lot of the tension. Thanks for visiting and recognizing Jackie Gleason. Long gone but still funny.
