The Unsung Heroes
THE UNSUNG HEROES . . .
O l hail to the poets born of observation
Then to their perseverance and patience
For taking all that is in their hidden minds
And then plonking it all between the lines
Their poetry can be found to be as diverse
As all things can found within the universe
There is even some who can go to beyond
Writing of Godly things like lyrics to a song
How blessed are we for those whom share
From poems of happiness those who scare
Limericks I am sure made to make us laugh
To heartfelt messages left on ones epitaph
Intellectuals whom stick to the poetic rules
O how I wished I had gone to their schools
Raptures of passion are woven within lines
A smell of a red rose - a taste of rich wines
Some write of war and the needs for peace
Some of anger to get some form of release
All hail to the unsung heroes who gave it all
To those who have fallen for this poetic call
You are never really a hero until you’re dead
And your poems are hailed up as to be read
Then all the fame you ever wanted be found
When you are then 6 feet under the ground
Therein lies a poetic genius beyond compare
Who had the real heart with others to share
Whose poems and verses will not be forgot
And whose poetic phases we learn to adopt
