The Unique Convention-W
A roster of academic, cultural and political figures
Opened the conference with a series of inspiring
Addresses that touched on themes of poetic convention
Highlighting scholarship, and the spirit of fellowship.
The Convention begun with a dance recital by Constance
And concluded with the Sitar recital by Tahera Mannan
With that incentive to be immersed in poetry for a week
With time to write, recite, read and discuss at ease.
To me this was a unique experience to come in touch
In person with the poets with whom I was in contacts
Through pen, poetry, comments and running contests
Particularly to know Robert Hinshaw and his lingo,
Nette’s mesmeric verses along with Joe Maverick
Dedicating his time for Children’s institutions in U.K.
A fruitful dialogue, touching the new horizons of poetry.
Quite unique, I say again, as compared to my conferences
In the three continents since more than last two decades.
With a trip to the nearby seaside resort and an aquarium
The convention ended with fun, love and mind enriched.
