I took an ancient poem of mine, the twilight and melded it with a thought that crossed my desk on that time as currency with a balance unknown. ( how poetic)

And I wrote this today

I created an MP3 to upload ( NOTE ) its pre release to the wild, Look for it on my upcoming solo album. All of my music is starting to release on all platforms look for Artimus The Poet

The Twilight (C) 2024 Artimus The Poet - Susan Manley All Rights Reserved Musical Introduction [Verse] Over the mountains the purple comes rolling lit like a backdrop silhouette glowing Soon to meet the valley in cascades of light to make day of what has been night The sun with shine the stars will fade And some will sleep while others awake And soon once again that purple will rise and push the light out from the skies [chorus] The Twilight it comes every day the purple haze decending over the planet the marking of the passage of time to reflect on how its spent to relax sublime And where memories are swept It pulls us forward into nights inky depths where the day is forgotten in sleep in dreams we rest [Musical Interlude] [Verse] later dawn will arise and wipe sleep from our eyes with pink it is so bright it evaporates mist and brings to light All that is the day progresses through the haze and if we have planned it it can be jam. packed . in... [Verse] Over the mountains the purple comes rolling lit like a backdrop silhouette glowing Soon to meet the valley in cascades of light to make day of what has been night (to make day of what has been night) [Outro] The sun with shine the stars will fade And some will sleep while others awake And soon once again that purple will rise and push the light out from the skies Stop and watch that glory of the passing to the night the purple into twilight it marks the march of your life inching forward to the unknown Time is the only currency... you never know the balance of so spend it wisely Spend it wisely (Spend it wisely) spend it wisely before you go [end]

I love what you've done here Susan, what pretty lyrics to the harmonious music. You should join in as well with your own singing....Hugs

Hey Maria, I can sing, but of course you have to keep it up. LOL its one more thing on the pile of one more things. I am working on many fronts at this moment. But thank you so much for the feedback. I love this song. Some things just seem to write themselves, like my subconcious self spoke. This is one of them.

Dear Susan, So well written and such lovely imagery. I loved how the music and words just flowed throughout. Is that you singing and doing harmonies and if so it was beautiful. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Hi Daniel, once again its AI singing. I could resing these. But its serious studio work to pull the stems ( musical parts) out and retrack the voice. And though I can sing and do, I am rusty and my vocal style would need to adapt for all of the genre I am working in. And since I am instead putting that brain power into how to get better music and writing original lyric ( thats a poem I extended). And I am working on some business objectives right now as well. I just don't have the bandwidth to retrack them. I will eventually put up some with me singing. I can do "this". My range is contralto to second soprano.

I pulled the dedication because I almost got banned on facebook because someone reported the link. ( so I just blocked a few culprits forever on social media). Sometimes we need to exclude those we are connected to by blood to free up valuable headspace. Thank you for the compliments on the song. I am very proud of the lyric. That purple being the perfect reflection point. And I am working on more. I promise!
