The Tunnel's End
In lighted times born in a dark tunnel
the juvenile eyes look for a beacon
to escape a life some define as hell.
In soiled room lighted corner of his own
this boy finds to face the present alone.
From depth of denial he wants to rise
build a life of respect, pride and promise.
He toils to learn how to face the harsh world
resolve of the mind focused in his eyes.
At tunnel's end the future waits unfurled.
