The Trophy You Seek
I am to old to worry about words that have been told
I do not care about a contest you share
For poetry is a gift you share
Not who wins and who shares
You are blind and cannot see this trophy lies in you
All you can see is a win for me
A trophy that no one will see but me
A golden star upon your name
It’s all a game
For the real trophy you seek
Is in you
You and your poetry
That's in you
