'It cannot be helped.' Letting go of what cannot be changed and realizing somethings are out of our control... and that's ok, focus on that what you can change...

"When changes made to oneself make no sense to others ~ the mind can only react in self defense"—by poet  I Am Anaya

The Trails of Sanity

The Trails of Sanity

Why do I care if the disturber carries on
Why is it I cannot just wait it out, bide my time
Be more mindful, try and bond
Embrace what I don’t understand
Welcome the scorching taste in my mouth
I wait, I watch, and watch and wait
what seems a millennium
The afterglow of embers still burn
Just sit tight…
The day ends with a tug on the swatch
of the backpack, I doff it off my shoulders
I hear the trifles start up once more behind me
As my eyes wander upwards
As the Rigel star taps into my soul
As I surrender inward, a whispering voice
cues consolingly…
Here you are
Mind at ease

Anaya, this points out something quite powerful. Very meditative in nature. It shows the kindness of your soul. Smiles.

Dear Anaya, I loved this exploration of inner turmoil and the quest for tranquility. I think your introspective musings create a palpable sense of tension and release. The mix of your external disturbances and internal struggles is masterfully crafted, culminating in a cathartic denouement. Good luck in the contest, for this is a winner in my book! Autumn Blessings, Daniel

Your wonderful comment has given me a safe and sound place to rest my quest for tranquil musings, and a broader perceptive for which I may take a hiatus from where I will reflect more fully and deeply, Daniel. Ty~ Autumn has been a delight.

Letting go of what cannot be changed. Perfect idea. Do not try to change anything good.

Dear anaya, I love your quote, and you are so right and wise, and youv said it so very well in your quote and also in your poem, depicting what it is like to accept what cannot be changed and to let go of it all, i especially love the lines “ The afterglow of embers still burn Just sit tight… The day ends with a tug on the swatch of the backpack” how descriptive , and how you show through your words what its like, things that do not change and stay constant is so very artistic and creative! The ending especially is brilliant! Ps, i love your new profile pic! Stunning you are as always! Pleasure reading your poem: best wishes for the contest. Sending you light always~

Ty, Ink! You are very kind. The quote came to me, as I've delved into the wellness arts (yoga) and deities and know that lifestyle can change but the world won't. Everyone have their own opinions, and I need not worry about what I can't change, just be the change! What's most important, Empress, is to appreciate our freedom. So many, sad truths out there, we are lucky to be free. Oh, that's me with no make-up amiga :)
