The Tip of My Pinky Is Just Fine, Thank You

For my friend, Bea, who makes me smile and is the brightest star in the bunch. The tip of my pinky is just fine, thank you. My bosom’s low. My gait is slow. I can’t scurry, but what’s the hurry? My foot gets sore when it touches the floor. My nose is runny. I have pain in my tummy. BUT My pinky’s still pink at its very tip. My cataracts removed. My eyesight’s improved. I grew a new lump thing. Still my heart is pumping. Amidst all these things, I sing sweet ting-a-lings. Always I snatch dem golden rings hanging so shiny from shimmering strings Kathryn McLoughlin Collins February 12, 2014 Bea is 93.

I like it, I get the reality and the humor of it all.

The bit about the pinky is true. She didn't say the other things but IS all of them.

'...sing sweet ting-a-lings,' '...hanging so shiny from shimmering strings,' lovely phrasing! The woes and the wonders of aging gracefully. Well done Kathy! Love, Keith xoxo

Dear Kathy... At 93, I doubt if my pinky will still be pink... or if I'll be able to use it to count my cute little piggies... ;-)... anyway, the poem is cute, and that's what counts... Love, Terry

Okay - so here's a question. What's the matter with Bill deBlasio and his crew?
