Color, Gender, Sexual Orientation The Machine, Corruption, Racial Discrimination There the spotlight shone brightly in Chicago's mayoral election But campaign over, winner declared -- Let's move the city in a new direction One of pension funds solvency, of lower taxes and reduced expenses To accomplish that requires political moxie, mending fences Can Mayor Lightfoot do it? Will she? How? It's time to act boldly, Lori, and the time is now

Yes, you're right: Time WILL tell, but I think that it'll probably tell the same old story when Ms. Lightfoot is 'said and done.'

You may be afraid, but I'm CONFIDENT that corrupt Chicago will never change. (Ha, ha). he reformers are usually worse than the establishment they replace!... The last Mayor Daley started out as a gung-ho reformed, and ended up knee-deep in rotten, filthy scams (such as the $75 million parking meter deal). ~ Gershon
