I remember the swing
Lifting my legs up high
Reaching, reaching for the sky
Believing I had wings
A dreamscape it was for me
A ride above the ground
A place that could be found
A place where I could flee
Imagination running wild
Tree branches blurred, pictures made
Cool air flowing in the shade
A fun place to be for a child
Under the maple tree it hung
With memories of laughter to last
These simple things in the past
Ring in motion of the songs sung
