The Swan

The Swan Feathers floating in the wind Perform in slow motion, Each drift into the shadows of yesterday She is not me -- She is not you! A theme, upon a morning crystal view. She truly is the wind She is like the sun She is as beautiful as the moon She is the magic in your eyes. On this night, -She sits on the calm waters of your reflection. Creating love, to the vows of life She listens and counts the rhythm in the stars She is a thief who stole every breath before And Still--- She is the breeze The tranquil sound, in every perfect pitch The gleam in your eyes. In you, she sees the ocean Swims with open confidence Together love holds on to every tide Every feather kept dry and warm - during the perfect storm - Her wings ache with pain That is why! She is the essence of beauty and grace She is the reason to smile She is the flame She is everything in your eyes. Graceful feathers in the wind. To dream the dreams of the awakened She might just be me, she might just be you! "Till Death Do We Part." “Swans” -the symbols of everlasting love- ~*~

Awe I love it! Very loving yet sweet and tranquil. My Poetic skills are whatever comes to mind, I jot it down and it take it from there. usually one line at a time. All my poems are published and I am working on a book as well. Taking it slow I do have one poem to add to it and to finalize it. It will be published in the USA and Europe. I do have a website too where my poems are. http://www.freewebs.com/expresspoetry/

I swim in the air/ And dance on the waters/ I cool off in the sun/ And sweat on the moon/ My feathers/ Are your lather/ And my gaze/ Catches your fire/ When you're in my arms/ That's to conspire/- (I immersed in contrasts to grasp the original-that is love, which you have penned with grace)-

The swan is such a graceful, poised and beautiful creature. God must have had a reason for it to be the symbol of everlasting love :) I love the natural flow of your words. I loved the lines- "A theme, like morning upon a crystal view. She is of the wind She is of the sun She is the moon She is the magic in your eyes." Good job & keep writing! xoxo Dipika

this reminds me of the film "The Black Swan" its about a ballerina who plays the innocent and fragile White Swan, and all-so as the dark and sensual Black Swan, who lose her grip on reality! (played Natalie Portman) Just wonderful- I love this Poem

Obviously only a fantastic female could write something like that with all of that feeling. Men are often to coarse and without feeling at all. It does come out in me occasionally though. Thanks for your positive comment about my second poem of the week. How did you find out about it? It was just posted yesterday
