The Surgery
The Surgery
The surgeon came in bright green garbs
A shinning steel blade in hand
Ready to glide it easily thru me
My body, my faithful companion
Ached and pained evermore
Under his able hands
My anatomy swayed and sang
Chirping like a dewy bird
On a branch in spring
Like a passenger on a long journey
His sutures brought a stop
Leaving me to cope with the pain
Of filing for medical insurance
