The Star
Singing carols at Christmas time with mistletoe hung high
Enjoying mistletoe kisses and pumpkin pie
Bringing cheer to others both near and far
The tree is decorated but is missing its star
Perhaps it's in the attic somewhere
Someone needs to find it to make the tree complete
As we sing Rudolph the red nosed reindeer
While awaiting Christmas treats
Then the star is finally put upon the tree
Shining bright for all to see
Like long ago when a star proclaimed the new born king
Listen carefully and you can hear the angels sing
