The Snowy Woods
Whose woods are these I think I know
Even covered in the fallen snow
This path I trod I think I've seen
Back when these woods were warm and green
Back when I was a younger lad
When times were good and not so bad
I played and frolicked right here you see
Underneath this giant cottonwood tree
Many years have passed and still I know
Even though they are covered with so much snow
The oaks the elm and lilac bush
This little red wagon we used to push
These woods were mine to climb and play
My childhood past back in the day
I'm happy to see them in the snow
Whose woods are these I think I know
This poem was inspired by this line from Robert Frost
"whose woods these are I think I know"
