The Skeletons And Songs Of Samsara - 3

In the vigor of day no cloud, in night's creep thought so loud
the body of your birth shock animated,
where nothing lies or dies
and the only law that can catch you is hesitance
in the heart where your naivety resides
intuition's arithmetic equals defiance
you know that there is lightning in your lamp
a studious savage barks to begin
the State will sear your surname onto the collar and clamp
you only have the right to fight to live, to take the win,
is the heart of a hero infallible
can you become a juggernaut of justice
to no longer rage against the inevitable
the diploma soul tattooed, let love be your witness,
the skeletons and songs of samsara eternal -

I want to thank Poet, Craig Cornish, for introducing
the academic format of Heroic Crown Sonnet to me,
and I am proud to say...I did it my way...
also, I reversed the ryhme scheme for the 15th sonnet,
and the 15th sonnet was not composed prior to
the preceeding 14 poems being written in this composition...Justin A. Bordner

Congratulations on, at least, making the winners list. I'm still pissed that I missed the contest. Regarding Craig's comment on the blog, what rules did you break?

Let it be a lesson to us all, to write for a higher purpose Tom. I read your composition and found truth in it. I deviated from the traditional format regardng meter and structure. The composition became what it needed to be...J.A.B.

wow, I think this is really amazing, sounds like it just poured out, maybe because you didn't allow yourself to be under the restraint of meter... it flows nicely.. it's thought-provoking and will require another read..... Nicely done, congratulations.

Contiuned...It took me 52 days, and approximately 200 hours to create this series of sonnets, I loved every minute of it. The creative process required to compose this work taught me so much about my nature, my perspective of past, present and future, about the human condition, and craftsmanship. I think its a blessing that we can be heros for eachother Poetess...J.A.B.

Your tears are my nourishment Laura. The beautiful Sanskrit word, samsara, is what this epic is established upon. Samsara essentially refers to the birth, life, death process that all life on Earth experiences, and the continuum, regeneration of our awareness. I also employed another Sanskrit word, Yantra, which expresses the journey of a lifetime. Reincarnation, and the immediate experience of growing from childhood into adulthood in a very complex world is what my inspiration was with this composition...J.A.B.
