The silent whisper
In the depths of despair, sought solace in vain,
In substances fleeting, a peace to attain.
I craved for tranquility, a respite from strife,
But found only emptiness, a void in my life.
Nicotine's grip held me tight, its fumes a disguise,
Masking the pain, the turmoil that lies.
Alcohol's embrace, a fleeting reprieve,
Yet left me with burdens, too heavy to conceive.
In the depths of my being, a yearning so deep,
For peace everlasting, my soul's solace to keep.
I searched high and low, in places afar,
But the answer lay not in substances bizarre.
Within me resided, a treasure untold,
A wellspring of peace, waiting to unfold.
I silenced the voices, the doubts that held sway,
And opened my heart to the truth of the day.
In the stillness of silence, in the depths of my soul,
I found the true essence, the peace sought whole.
No longer a seeker, but a beacon of light.
I radiate harmony, dispelling the night.
