Why is Captain America's Shield Round?

Captain America's shield, has been a recurring item from the beginning; a weapon used for defense and offence, there have been several shields. Made in different shapes and designs and of different materials, it began with a triangle (I think the Captain liked that shape) then, he was presented with a disc-shaped shield by President Roosevelt that he liked a lot too ! Captain had a few triangles, that got destroyed overtime in many a battle; they were made in many different secret materials, the red circular shield is the best known. I like the red, white and blue design with the white star, and it has powers and properties helpful to the Captain; but, even that has been damaged, destroyed and lost, but the shield always comes back to fight ! _______________________ July 18, 2022 Poetry/Free Verse/The Shield Copyright Protected, ID 07-1474-346-18 All Rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France Written for the Premiere contest, Captain America's Shield sponsor, Robert James Liguori, Judged 08/04/2022 Fifth Place
