The Self Saboteur

I can't decide what I want to do To either sink or float or hide The aim is to be obscured from view I really should decide Most of my problems are resolvable too If sense I just applied So I'll just be barely there Start letting people down It's not that I don't care Or that I even need to drown I won't even finish the verse Or form it with any skill It's perhaps a kind of curse Where I drag myself down hill

The creative soul seems to be always in a state of flux, riddled with doubt, numb, wounded, unable to move towards a purpose....then....it creates something worthwhile, feels joy in the act of producing a flame to illuminate that space we call life. See the glow in your work...it matters and is important...

Thank you Paul, I always value your words of wisdom. I think I'm not wanting to open any cans of worms so it's a bit like pulling my punches when writing x

aww Dilly Dally we all have doubts and low self esteem at times and put ourselves down to be honest and hit the self destruct button I do it all the time in aspects of my life. When I first started writing (i was a total novice and had no previous interest in poetry) I shared a few poems (funny ones) on a chat site, one lady encouraged me to join soup.
