The Same Tomorrow
I should leave, no reason to stay.
I don't want to argue anymore.
I have no faith in what you say.
Without trust, there is nothing more.
Mistakes have been made along the way.
I accept the responsibility of mine.
When confronted, you just walk away,
Any wrongdoing, you decline.
For years I have tried to be,
the person that lives in your mind.
But, that person will never be me.
I don't fit your ideal design.
We no longer see the same tomorrow.
Our plans for the future, gone.
I still feel grief and sorrow,
you have already moved on.
Nothing left, but a final goodbye.
Separate lives await, yours and mine.
So many years together, we did try.
Sometimes love is hard to define.
