The Ribbon
The colors in the sky,
way up high,
red, and gold and green...
yellow, purple,
and the unseen.
Those colors,
that are outside
our field of view,
the ones that we see,
me, and you.
A symbol of love,
a covenant..., a promise,
a gift from God to us...
Our King,
His glory seen,
in the canvas between
the blue of heaven,
and the green of Earth.
It always comes...
at the end of the storm,
yet sometimes in the middle,
Regardless; a welcome sight.
at any time, at any height.
The rainbow...
a sweet remembrance,
of the Lord's grace,
and promise
to our whole race.
