The Raindrop

The Raindrop Lonely raindrop full of woe Splashes down no place to go Bringing forth the pains of Earth Exploding with a worthless worth Within its deluge you can see the tears Lonely raindrop shows its years Look inside and you will find The pestilence of mankind The blood and sweat in a micro small Of the yearning heart in a heavy haul Amidst the sorrows that cascade A lonely raindrop that has strayed Give it time and you shall see Before it joins the great big sea For when the heavens sadly cry One lonely raindrop to reply There is much to bear in just one drop As the universe spreads with its crop Without the one there would not be many For the lonely raindrop makes the plenty. A raindrop joins others and the others join others until, we have a river full flooding towards the sea. But on its way, it waters earth, each raindrop feeds one small plant, which feeds a bird, and the bird sprinkles, and so the circle of life depends on one raindrop! Exquisite write W.W Best wishes, Jennifer.

I know many of these lonely raindrops, nice to see you write a poem not in your usual style.. This one is really deep and motive, supported by very good rhyme..

If a raindrop could whisper, especially with all that is going on now- in the world. I am sure these would be its last words. Many emotions linger where tears have fallen. Raindrops. This is so beautiful- yet tender at the same time. Sadness touches your thoughts. Love and Refreshing drops of rain. ~ Brandy

This was very deep and very good my friend. I like how you did this, without the one, there wouldn't be the many. Really cool. Best of luck in the contest.

"exploding with a worthless worth" and "joins the great big sea" - wow! These word choices are amazing, Winged Warrior. Good luck in the contest.
