The Rainbow
The Rainbow
Hold on fast in the sky,
And show us your world,
Your prism full of color,
Life’s bounty unfurled.
Your lens sees only beauty,
Giving hope to one and all,
We see you on the horizon,
We heed your clarion call.
You’re endless and arching,
With calming pastel light,
Eyes of chance who see you,
Will behold you in their sight.
On long and darkened days,
We hope you will appear,
To sweep away the storm,
To sweep away our fear.
What artists cannot see,
You carry deep inside,
An earthly rooted soul,
And deeply heartfelt pride.
