The Raging Storm

Abruptly thrown into the darkest storm-
a world of black and gray- heart split in two,
I saw her force of life explode and spew,
for grief her mind could not accept, conform.
Into the raging storm, her being flew-
in painful misery of piercing screams.
Tornado-like emotions reached extremes;
what horror had befell her- wish I knew.
I pulled the shade down, blocking out the sight
of what I saw across the alleyway.
Such horror racked my mind with deep dismay-
as nightmares, certainly, will haunt my night.
