The Power of Love (Part 5)

The Fifth Day Beneath the waters Creatures grew; finned and mammals The sea was their habitat Until some emerge Out of the water Some creatures grew big and tall But with their presence, the small Did not have much chance. It was a failure. Like a displeased artist, God Had to bring a change that would Fit his plan better. Spring had been long gone The summer had been quite hot Autumn, a memory that Left a sense of cold. All the creatures sensed A change in the air, strife like That threatened their very life And the earth entered The dreaded ice age. Then on one fine day, the change The meltdown; new life emerged Quadrupeds appeared With fur of colors Some spotted, others with stripes Some large, some tall, others small Some tamed, some quite wild. Beautiful animals Living in forests or plains Some in prairies and mountains Others in jungles. There were those that flew With wings and bodies feathered Male and female; attributes Of the Creator. Dear Caroline I like your creation poems. They are beautiful and interesting. I like the meltdown and the appearance of a new day with all it's glory, and the creative process of the creator. Our beloved Father in Heaven. Thank you for your poetic support and encouragement. With love and gratitude. Era
