The Potter and His Clay
Will the gates of Heav'n await me
Will they let my soul inside
Will the King of Kings forgive me
And allow me forever to reside
In His grace and in His glory
Though I've sometimes not deserved
But I tried with all my being
To live the message of His word
The vessel that He gave me
Gave into lust and gluttony
But when I asked for His forgiveness
His Holy light shone down on me
The Potter and His clay
Formed me with His own two hands
And while I've done my share of sinning
I hope He forgives this man
The burden that I carried
Has been paid for with His blood
And the reason for His living
Was to pass on His pure love
They say the grass is always greener
Over on the other side
The golden streets are our reminder
We've no more mountains left to climb
The Potter and His clay
Allows for free will and He tends
To call home those He needs the most
But not before He mends
The souls of all those fallen
Away from truth or His pure light
So walk with Him and you'll receive
The gift of eternal life
So walk with Him and you'll receive
The gift of eternal life
