The Poet's Soul

The soul is his home, 
detachment an intruder. 
He is like a street dog 
who sees rainbows. 
A slate reflects life; 
emotion exposed by a pen. 
Pain and beauty cut deep. 
No bandage can heal; 
only words can complete.
