The Poems I Never wrote
One day I'll write poetic tales of my life
The poems I never wrote in times of strife
I'll reveal delights of romantic passion
Loving gestures that happened to happen.
Stirring to life rapturous magical nights
When lovers reached fantastical heady heights
Of happiness zooming from my memoirs chest
Souvenirs of heart that are simply the best.
I would write of spring and the treasures it brings
Of summer days evoking one's heart to sing
Autumn with her artistic flamboyant flair
Winter snowflakes dancing their magic o’er air.
I must write for the friends who have come and stayed
My sisters whose generous hearts are displayed
My neighbours who're always there to lend a hand
When things become too much, they all understand.
I'll write of those in my heart not forgotten
Angels seen in white wispy clouds of cotton
While dreamers sleep, into the poets’ head muse creeps
The poems I never wrote now aim to speak.
