The Pangie Plummet

That wintry day I fell, my left thigh did crack. Did an evil spirit push me from the back? In some big trouble, had I a clear hunch! My knee, the sound of hard cereal, Captain Crunch! I screamed, oh how I hollered, in great pain. My, alert button, would not work, in vain! My daughter had a sense, something was amiss. She found me, and gave me a comforting kiss. The rest be all but my just past history now! But what evil spirit did this, and precisely how? 1-11-2022 ~1~

Nice poem to remind us of that fateful day. Thanks for writing your poetry and keep us up on the number of steps in rehab my friend. I'm happy you're through that painful part now. My wife, Sara is rehabbing a torn rotor cuff in her right shoulder area. It's keeping us busy with my rubbing the medicine in and helping her with the exercises. They say it will be another 6 weeks. At least it's getting better now. The las month has been a challenge. Hugs, Bill

Oh, Pangie, I hope you didn't fall. This is an issue a lot of seniors have. I know I keep tripping on my throw carpets, I should be wise and put them away. I hope you are well my friend. blessings

Really well done. This was not fun for you to experience to say the least. Your writing has been a good part of your recovery process.

Thank you, dear heart, for rescuing me! I really do not know anyone like you. You are a cauldron of compassion, it seems, for everyone you know. And thanks for breakfast, today. Huggs, Panagiota xxoo

You must have eyes, that can see beyond the pond! Yes, an enormous effect. Treats me like a Queen, doing good for those, far more severely injured than I. Daughter is multi-talented. A giver, not a taker. A blessing in my life. Love, Panagiote

Pangie, this reminds me of "The Divine Comedy" Levels of some sort of evil that may be trying to reach you, but love conquers all, your daughter overrides it with her precious aura. We may never know what kind, just know it's not our kind! Hugs Anaya

Very interesting, the dancer, your daughter claimed to be, Angela from California...she dropped her first name. Panagiota, do you know "Charo," the flamenco guitarist, Cuchi-Cuchi! She came to mind...Anaya

Daughter and I are like twin souls, Anaya. She does not remember saying this. But I do! She was only 8 years old. She said..”I think I am here from a past life.I am..l Isadore Duncan” . I almost fainted on the street. I never talked to her about Isadora! Blew my mind. I think you may know who she was. Very creative dancer and highly individualistic. You are right about my daughter. A positive, healinhg, and loving aura! Hugs, Panagiota xx

Pangie, I sympathise with the pain you went through when you fell and broke your thigh, must have been horrendous. Thank goodness your daughter sensed something was amiss and came with a comforting kiss… Belle

Belle, no sympathy...it’s OK. Better to look back and laugh. I was lying on the floor on my abdomen...I felt like a turtle, but unable to move at all, as if cemented to the floor. The ambulance paramedics? I screamed plenty when they had me on a stretcher! I had no idea, I was going to end up in a center dedicated to trauma, in another city. The surgery was too complex to be done in my city. But I am waking with my rollator. PD, how is your husband doing, Belle? I yes, yes, bless my daughter’s senses! I may not be here today. Thank you, Belle

With me, the evil spirit is male lesser-ego. Forgetting to ease-up when exercising, the old body say: "Get real man!" Happy you are on the mend though -- very descriptive! Excellent write!

Oh Pangie, I cringe to think of the snap, crackle, and pop of your bones when you fell. This will certainly go in your history book as a milestone event, and I love that you are able to write about it with your usual flair and elan. How wonderful that your daughter was tuned into your frequency. Was God looking out for you? I think so!

John, what a comment. such pizzaz! I look back at that with humor in this write. No need to weep or play victim. It gave me a check to meet doctors, nurses and physical therapists who all blew my mind. All had an interest in my poetry and background in theater. Such phenomenal people. God must have been part of this! No! I would not want relive that day. But did find a hospital of extraordinary commitment to my health. The chaplain was also a Poet. She read my poetry to me and I cried. Hearing and reading poetry are way, way different. My daughter and I are both Pisces! Bless you, Juhn! Panagiota xx
