The Only Star For Me
I do not have nor desire a lucky star.
In fact, I don't believe in lucky stars.
But if I believed in and had a lucky star,
It would be you, lighting up the night of my life.
Like every mortal, I have a dark side. It is that
Part of me where only God's and your light shine.
That flawed and tainted part of me due to Adam's fall;
That imperfect side of me that's seen by your light.
It is your light that for more than 50 years has
Been shining on, in, and throughout my being.
It is your light that energizes and speaks the
Truth to me, giving me the strength to carry on.
You are the only star for me and like the title
of a song, "You light up my life".
