The Only One
Writing between things to do , to get through....
I will always remember your eyes
Your empathy that spread to the skies
Your strength that taught me lessons I learned,
easing the memories in pages that burned
We sat at the beach late one night, water clapping at shore
As if an audience was listening, reaching me to the core
It was as if we had the world in our hands,.
as if our purpose was scrolled across the sands
I will always remember what you gave me, that no-one could
Chopping away the many hardships like wood
Your sacrifice was beyond the horizon to see
You are the one, the only, living on this way in me
