The Ones
The Ones
They don't talk about the ones
No they don't speak, they never say
Whose chairs have wheels instead of legs
From twisted limbs, now blown away
They never speak about the ones
No they don't talk, they never say
That shadows of proud men live on
In shadows live the ones they are today
The ones............the ones
The ones who saw their own Brothers laid dead
The ones who're now so lost inside their heads
The ones............the ones
They don't talk about the ones
No they don't speak, they never say
They keep them far away from sight
To scream through dreams of yesterdays
They never speak about the ones
No they don't talk, they never say
That shadows of proud men live on
In shadows live the ones they are today
The ones...........the ones
They paid the price of sanity for them
And live today trapped in their minds, condemned
The ones...........the ones
They don't talk about the ones
No they don't speak, they never say
Of men who struggle to sustain
Their lives a mess, too much to pay
They never speak about the ones
No they don't talk, they never say
That shadows of proud men live on
In shadows live the ones they are today
(Musical Bridge)
The ones...........the ones
How they deserve oh so much more from them
They struggle on through nightmares once again
The ones...........the ones
Their silence hurts the most you see
Yes silence hurts, they never say
What happens to the ones who pay
Who's fight lives on inside each day
They never speak about the ones
They never talk, no they don't say
That shadows of proud men live on
In shadows live the ones they are today
The ones............the ones
To all brave men who fought to keep them free
Then paid the highest price for liberty
The ones...........the ones
The ones....
