The Old Dining Table
It's round
So that everyone has the same width of view
It's round
So that everyone has the same position and plight
It's round
So that everyone is as close as the others
It's round
So that everyone can take turn to speak
Like the turning disc at the centre of the dining table
It's round
So that an unanimous conclusion is reached
And a happy family is formed
Like the shape of the table
At a reunion dinner
If not in the meeting room of an office
