The Obscurity of Peace
Cries of famine, torture and pain echo worldwide
A child who hungers, a family facing death
How can we live in peace until such ills subside
Injustices may linger till our dying breath
The chance to change the course of our world is still there
Though time appears to be running out as we wait
Join the peace movement now and let’s unite in prayer
To succeed in this quest, we cannot hesitate
We can’t erase violence by going to war
Such lessons we can learn from mankind’s history
If aggression is a tactic that you abhor
Lay down all your weapons to end this misery
Though a world of peace and brotherhood seems obscure
You cannot deny this notion has much allure
