The Night Heroes

From the heat of the light I retire
The mind eager, drops the clatters of the noon
For great is the dark’s breeze that cuddles the soul
Ah! Joy of haven the body dreams

But a betrayal, the soul to the body
That lifeless the mind wanders about
Lost in the midst of the past souls street
For hopeless the body is being left to lie

Yet the distant song from the cricket
Joined with the frog’s band music, silently and-
Cunningly lures the soul back to the body
Giving life to that that once wandered
