The Mosquito
I spent last night with a mozzie in my bed
I heard that annoying sound
I slapped my face
I slapped my ears
But you were whining around my head
Under the sheet you managed to creep
Taking chunks from my poor sunburnt skin
You bit my back
You bit my bum
I tried to find you but I had to give in
I didn't manage to get any sleep at all
Because I was itching all night long
I scratched my legs
I scratched my arms
I hadn't realised I was doing wrong
I woke up covered in lumps all over
Red and incredibly sore
I dabbed calamine
I dabbed anti itch cream
To no avail, you won the war
At the beach the itching got bad
Biting me on my privates wasn't nice
I tried creams
I tried tablets
I'm sure they all thought I had lice
So tonight I will sleep peacefully
Purchased two cans of mozzie spray
I used the whole lot
I enjoyed every minute
Today mate is your last day
